Biology at University of Tehran
is a broadly-based and one of the oldest Faculties in the
University College of Science which was established in 1934.
This Faculty is included
of four scientific departments consisting of
Cell and Molecular Biology ,
Zoology , Botany and
Microbiology. Each
department offers both master's and doctoral degrees and has
its unique curriculum and research interests. Our faculty members present their research in seminars all over the
world and publish their articles in ISI journals. They are
well-funded by university as well as extramural grants.
We focus on research training,
but we also take teaching and communication skills
seriously. The undergraduate program in this faculty
leading to the B.A. degree in four essential fields of
Biology including of Cell and Molecular Biology; Animal
Sciences, Plant Sciences and Microbiology.
